Children from The Cotswold School have created Christmas cards for local people.
Teaching Assistant Miss Henley saw a notice at Bourton’s Co-op supermarket, asking children to hand-make Christmas cards. Some amazing creations have been made, particularly in Years 7 and 9.
Now she has delivered 142 handmade cards to the supermarket. These are being distributed by street volunteers, within Covid-safe guidelines, to people who may be self-isolating and unable to meet others over Christmas.
Miss Henley said, “I think it is such a good idea to support the vulnerable at this time of year. We have had some great designs from so many children. The response has been wonderful and I hope they will cheer our local elderly and vulnerable citizens.
“People mustn’t feel like they have been forgotten. I wanted to help ensure they would all have at least one card this Christmas and feel loved.”
