Welcome from Will Morgan, Principal

Website Will

Thank you for your interest in our school.

Based in the stunning village of Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, The Cotswold School has earned an ‘Outstanding’ reputation as a popular and successful 11-18 comprehensive school.

During the coronavirus outbreak, our commitment to excellence has been unshaken, as we navigate home-learning with our students and teachers – and also consider the needs of our incoming children, who join us in Year 7 in September.

Please watch our ‘Welcome‘ video  if you are joining us in September 2020.

There is also lots of information about joining us on our ‘Getting ready for secondary school‘ page.

I am proud to lead an incredible team of staff and governors, who go the extra mile to provide our students with an inspiring education, fully equipping them for their future lives. The values of friendship and knowledge, symbolised on our badge, underpin all our learning and development activities and ensure that the wellbeing of our students and staff is also cared for.

At the heart of our school ethos is a commitment to excellent teaching and aspiration, which drives progress and attainment. Our students thrive academically and also personally, with opportunities to take part in musical performances and a huge range of extra-curricular clubs; writing competitions and debates; community fundraising; student leadership; and careers events.

Our school community has stayed strong, despite being closed to all but a small number of students during the pandemic. Why not have a look at our News pages, to see how so many of our students and staff have found ways to support others and develop their learning and talents?

If you would like to know more about joining The Cotswold School, do get in touch by email.

I look forward to meeting you.
