The Cotswold School has received additional funding for one year, which was available for schools, colleges and other 16 to 19 providers, to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).
The school’s award amounts to £4884 from the DfE’s 16-19 tuition fund for 2020-21. We are spending this by providing 2 hours 20 minutes per week of small group English Language tuition (maximum of three students in each session) for 30 weeks, and 2 hours 20 minutes per week of small group intensive Mathematics tuition (maximum of four students in each session).
In addition, there will be some one-to-one tuition in Maths and English, as the need arises. All these sessions are targeted at sixth form students who have not yet achieved grade 4 in Maths and English GCSE (seven students). Outcomes will be seen in December 2020 and August 2021, when results of these GCSE examinations are published.
