Welcome to Key Stage 3, covering the Years 7, 8 and 9. Despite the fact that it is the only Key Stage which no longer has any public examinations at its conclusion, success at Key Stage 3 forms the bedrock of success in the GCSE Examinations at the end of Key Stage 4.
The transition process begins during Year 6 at Primary School. Its focus is to ensure that all students begin Year 7 both ready and happy to learn. There is more independence at Secondary School and the role of the Form Tutor is paramount in supporting students in getting to grips with new systems and expectations. Mrs Jodi Carter is Head of Key Stage 3 and you can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
